Now here’s a bunch of people with a great idea: A website that allows employees to post anonymous reviews of the company they work for, including the salary that they are being paid.
The website then compiles these reviews and cross references them with reviews from other companies. In this way, a visitor to the site can quickly see who’s earning what and where, as well as how happy the person is there.
CNN had an interesting article yesterday on 25 reasons why you’re not getting the job. It includes simple but oft-forgotten advice such as:
Keep track of your current achievements so that when interview time comes around again, you’re properly prepared for it with up-to-date information about what you’ve done over the last while.
