In some headline-inspiring news, British police are concerned that a knife manufactured by WASP Injection Systems has turned up in the U.K.

The knife, designed to kill large predators such as sharks and bears, contains a small high-pressure gas cannister hidden in it’s handle. Once the target has been stabbed, the stabber presses a button on the handle, which releases the stored gas up through the knife and out of a hole in it’s tip.

According to the Daily Mail article, a “source close to the West Midlands police” said:

“The Met is obviously concerned about this and that is why they have circulated the information. This knife will almost certainly kill and the Met must have intelligence that they are in circulation. I think it is only a matter of time before one of these is used because the internet makes it much easier to find and buy weapons like this.”

The pressure is so great that it can actually freeze the organs of whatever is stabbed. Check out the video of this thing blowing apart a watermelon.I can just picture this thing in the hands of some ASBO-collecting yobbo after one too many pints down the local boozer. Nice.
