Man with new iPhoneThe brand new Apple iPhone has sold a million units in the first 3 days.

The new version of Apple’s stylish phone was released simultaneuously in 21 different countries on Friday.

Sadly it has’t been released in South Africa yet, but hopefully it will by the time my birthday rolls around in September (that’s a hint, loved ones!)

Due to the fact that the new phones had to be authenticated and activated on purchase, and that there were so many people who bought one, the servers at Apple were grinding to a halt all over the show, causing the in-store queues to back up dramatically.

Apple has sold six million first generation iPhones in it’s first year of availability. They hope to sell eight million of the new units before the end of the 2008.
